FIRSTPLAY POLICIES

Privacy at Firstplay

Effective October 26, 2026. This describes the information Firstplay uses to operate its marketplace.

Account and public profile

Firebase Authentication manages your sign-in. We store your email, profile, country, age eligibility attestation, and policy acceptance. Your display name, handle, biography, genre interests, listings, reputation, and completed-transaction reviews are public. Optional website/social links and featured videos you add are public. Linked public YouTube/Twitch channel metadata is refreshed to show recent coverage. Video players contact those providers only when you press play; thumbnails may load from their image services. Your account email and financial details are not part of your public profile.

Playtests and private feedback

Private direct-hire offers, their game details, applications, accepted sessions, feedback, corrections, and disputes are available to the participants and authorized administrators. Your creator insights, logged effort, decision notes and tracked findings are private to your account and authorized service operations. Submitted feedback is not published as a public review. Public reviews are a separate action after completion.

Payments

Stripe processes creator payments and tester identity verification, tax information, banking details, and payouts. Firstplay stores Stripe identifiers, eligibility state, currency amounts, and transaction status. Full card, bank, and government identity details are collected by Stripe rather than Firstplay.

Service providers and security

Firstplay uses Google Firebase for identity, database, and media storage; Netlify for hosting and server functions; GitHub for private source control; and Stripe for money movement. Data may be processed internationally by those providers. Access controls restrict private account, playtest, and financial records.

Poll data

Poll questions, media, option labels, and aggregate vote counts are public. We store your account identifier and chosen option to enforce one vote per poll; the public poll API does not reveal voter identities. Uploaded poll images and videos are publicly accessible. Do not upload private information or media you cannot share.

Retention and public media

Firebase may store sign-in persistence in your browser. Public images uploaded to a profile or listing are publicly accessible. We retain account data while needed for the service and financial, fraud, and dispute records where required. Deletion requests anonymize the profile after outstanding obligations are resolved.

Your choices

Edit public profile details, sign out, recover your password, or request deletion through account settings. Use the signed-in support form to request access, correction, or help with personal information. Firstplay does not sell your personal information or require advertising cookies to use its core functions.
