FIRSTPLAY POLICIES

Funding and refunds

Creators fund a specific listing or private direct-hire offer. Firstplay does not offer a reusable cash deposit wallet.

What you pay

The quote shows the tester reward budget, the 15% platform fee, and the total before you leave for Stripe Checkout. Advertised tester rewards are not reduced by Firstplay’s fee.

Unused spots

Close a funded listing from My workspace to refund uncommitted reward funding and its corresponding platform fee. Accepted or submitted work retains its funding until completion, expiry, cancellation, or dispute resolution. Recruitment closes after 30 days and uncommitted funding is queued for refund. Private offers have seven days for the tester to respond. Decline, creator withdrawal or no response queues a full reward-and-fee refund. Accepted direct jobs that are cancelled before submission or expire without submission also queue a full refund.

Approved work

Approved tests earn the advertised reward and corresponding platform fee. Unhappy feedback is not itself a refund reason. Issues with delivery are handled through the correction and dispute process.

How refunds arrive

Refunds return to the original payment method through Stripe. Bank processing may take several business days. Pending, failed, or disputed refunds remain visible for administrator reconciliation. Stripe processing costs are absorbed by the platform.

Payment disputes

A bank chargeback or external payment dispute can pause remaining money movement while it is investigated. Contact support with the listing and transaction identifiers so the records can be reconciled.
