A LITTLE GUIDANCE. BETTER FEEDBACK.

How to playtest.

Eight simple steps from your first launch to feedback a game creator can actually use.

STEP 1 OF 8

Choose your playtest

Read the brief before you apply.

Pick a game you can run and a session you can finish. Read the platform, estimated play time, reward, creator’s brief, and questions before applying.

  • Check your device, controls, language, and available time.
  • Firstplay paid work is for adults 18+ in supported payout countries. Complete your profile and Stripe payout onboarding before applying.
  • Wait until the creator accepts you. Applying does not reserve a paid spot; playing before acceptance does not establish a reward.
  • Once accepted, check the workspace deadline. The usual completion window is seven days.
The brief is your assignment. Focus on what the creator asks to learn; you do not need to finish the entire game unless the brief asks you to.

Put it into practice.
