The extension, timer, microphone and recordings are completely optional. You can submit feedback and earn an approved paid reward without them. A timer records elapsed time, not verified active gameplay.
This direct-download release installs manually in desktop Chrome. Download and extract the ZIP, then follow the steps below. Websites cannot install an extension silently.

Install and connect
- Use desktop Chrome. Download the ZIP above and extract it into a folder you can keep.
- Open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, choose Load unpacked and select the extracted folder. This manual route is for the current direct-download release.
- Pin Firstplay from Chrome’s Extensions menu. Choose Connect Firstplay, sign into your existing account and approve the connection on this website.
- Your accepted tests appear in the extension. Start/Pause tracks optional elapsed time; Finish adds it to your feedback draft.
- Choose Screen, Mic or Screenshot. Chrome and your operating system ask what you want to share. Keep the recording window open while capturing.
- Preview each capture, then choose Add to review or Discard. It stays local until you choose Add. Interrupted uploads do not silently submit the review.
- Open your written feedback, refresh Optional evidence, and submit your answers as usual. The creator sees the captures included in that submission.
Up to 20 captures and 2 GB per playtest. Each recording can be up to 500 MB; screenshots up to 10 MB. Local drafts stay in this Chrome profile until added, discarded, cleared or uninstalled. Uploaded captures normally expire after 90 days. Capture only material you may share, and get permission from anyone whose voice you record.
Privacy and account connection
The extension can read your accepted playtests and add your own optional evidence. It cannot spend money, approve work, change your account or manage payments. Connections expire after seven days. Captures remain private to you until submitted; then participants and authorized administrators may access them.
